Calling all students and recent graduates: Join the Kotlin Multiplatform Contest and win a trip to KotlinConf 2025!

Have you tried building projects with Kotlin Multiplatform? Kotlin Multiplatform lets you create apps for Android, iOS, desktop, web, and server – all with shared Kotlin code!

Try the technology and showcase your skills and creativity by building a cross-platform project using Kotlin Multiplatform. Submit your project to our contest for a chance to win one of three trips to KotlinConf 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Authors of all other valid entries will receive Kotlin souvenirs!

Win a trip to KotlinConf 2025

If your entry is one of the top three, you’ll win a trip to KotlinConf on May 21–23, 2025, with travel and hotel costs covered, courtesy of the Kotlin Foundation. Winners will also receive cool Kotlin swag.

Kotlin Multiplatform experts from JetBrains will be hosting monthly live Q&A sessions to ensure you get the guidance you need. Stay tuned for more details in our Slack channel.

Your project must

  • Use Kotlin Multiplatform and run on at least two platforms.
  • Be created specifically for this contest. You cannot submit more than one project.
  • Cover any topic of your choice, showcasing creativity and Kotlin Multiplatform’s capabilities.
  • Not be a template or “Hello World”.
  • Not be a library.
  • Be submitted via a GitHub link.
  • Include a comprehensive README file and clear installation instructions on how to launch the project on all targets and how to try key features.
  • Be in English.

You must

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be enrolled or have been enrolled in an accredited educational program within the last 12 months.
  • Join the contest Slack channel for updates.
