Software Engineering Team Lead at trivago
Dmytro Kurets

Being a master's graduate in Geology, I surrendered rocks and minerals for bits and bytes. I began my career in software development as a back-end PHP developer before transitioning to Go. In 2020, I joined trivago, where I shifted my focus to Kotlin and happily stuck with it. Since then, I've expanded my expertise to front-end development, primarily using TypeScript and React. In 2022, I took on a leadership role, guiding a team of back-end and front-end developers. Our work revolves around data-intensive applications, specializing in real-time analysis capabilities.

Beyond my professional work, I spend much of my free time co-developing Deltaration.com, an online board game I’m building with a friend. It’s my personal playground for development experiments and a source of endless fun, or so I think. My wife, however, remains skeptical.
