Bernd Prünster

Bernd Prünster is a Senior IT Security Expert at A-SIT Plus, where he has shaped the company’s open-source and Kotlin Multiplatform strategy. During his PhD research on securing decentralized P2P networks, he first adopted Kotlin and discovered that coroutines enabled simulations at a scale far beyond what was feasible with Java threads — an experience that led him to push Kotlin from research into production. Drawing on years of experience in applied IT security research and software engineering, he has developed a keen sense for when and how to adopt emerging technologies — for fun, profit, and the broader open-source community.
